About the M-NET-Thermostat PCB

M-NET-Thermostat is an open source PCB design by gajdi88, published on GitHub under the GPL-3.0 license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 55.9 × 64.8 mm, with 33 components from 18 distinct parts.

Other key parts include the LM741, 74LS04, NA555P, LM2672N-5.0 and LM2672N-3.3. By type, the board carries 10 capacitors, 10 resistors, 6 ICs, 2 connectors, 2 diodes and 2 inductors.

From the project

Smart thermostat for Mitsubishi's M-NET communication protocol

Since M-NET relies on a proprietary protocol, some custom electronics are required to be able to read and write to the bus. This is to simulate the behaviour of the comms protocol in designing the electronics.

The falstad schematic can be loaded into a free circuit simluator at https://www.falstad.com/circuit/circuitjs.html
