About the Attenuator PCB

Attenuator is an open source PCB design by greenjacketgirl, published on GitHub. It is a 2-layer board measuring 76.2 × 38.1 mm, with 27 components from 4 distinct parts.

By type, the board carries 15 resistors and 12 connectors.

It belongs with the rf & radio designs in this gallery.

From the project

This project is an attempt at designing and building a Software Defined Radio receiver that has the capabilities of listening to frequencies ranging from 500kHz to 50MHz utlizing the board designed, a sound card, and Quisk coupled with arduino code.

Introduction | This project was created in the scope of the the class ENGR 357 "Engineering Electronics II" conducted through online learning at Walla Walla University. We (Jordyn Watkins and Joshua Silver) were tasked with designing, building, and testing a software defined radio (SDR) receiver. Our radio is designed to listen to frequencies ranging from 500kHz - 50MHz designed to be used in conjunction with Quisk, a free open source SDR software. For more information on the theory, reasoning behind our design choices, and a more in depth look at the results and specs of this project, please…

Attenuator: common questions

How big is the Attenuator PCB?

The Attenuator measures 76.2 × 38.1 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Attenuator?

27 components, from 4 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Attenuator design files?

From the greenjacketgirl/SDR_Receiver repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Attenuator design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with greenjacketgirl. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.
