The current Base in this repository is the fully routed four-layer KiCad/BaBotBaseTHT4067Module.kicadpro. The separate two-layer Base attempt is preserved under ../history/PCB/base2layerdraft/ and is not ready to fabricate: six signal connections and one GND connection remain open. The KiCad/BaBotPlateTHT.kicadpro copy is an older unrouted two-layer Plate. A routed Plate and its Gerbers have been reported as complete but have not yet been provided for import into this repository. Factory-assembled modules can still contain SMD parts.

BaBot Base THT 4067 Module: common questions

What microcontroller does the BaBot Base THT 4067 Module use?

The BaBot Base THT 4067 Module is built around the Arduino Micro A000053, from the AVR/Arduino family.

How big is the BaBot Base THT 4067 Module?

The BaBot Base THT 4067 Module measures 100 × 99.3 mm, has 4 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the BaBot Base THT 4067 Module?

16 components, from 14 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the BaBot Base THT 4067 Module design files?

From the Hemlock-white/Babot_revisioned_Mechatronics_TermProject repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the BaBot Base THT 4067 Module design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with Hemlock-white. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.

Can I test firmware for the BaBot Base THT 4067 Module without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug AVR/Arduino firmware against it before you order a PCB.
