About the RepeatElectronicGame PCB

RepeatElectronicGame is an open source AVR/Arduino PCB design by hotkeysoft, published on GitHub under the MIT license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 80 × 80 mm, with 26 components from 19 distinct parts.

Its main chip is the ATmega328P-AU, from the AVR/Arduino family. By type, the board carries 7 resistors, 6 capacitors, 5 switches, 4 diodes, 1 IC and 1 crystal.

From the project

Repeat Electronic Game (TMS1000 emulator running on ATmega328P)

The microcontroller runs a TMS1000-series emulator I made (running in TMS1700 mode).

One ROM is loaded on the emulator: Pocket Repeat (by Tandy/Radio-Shack). This is a Simon game clone.

RepeatElectronicGame: common questions

What microcontroller does the RepeatElectronicGame use?

The RepeatElectronicGame is built around the ATmega328P-AU, from the AVR/Arduino family.

How big is the RepeatElectronicGame PCB?

The RepeatElectronicGame measures 80 × 80 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the RepeatElectronicGame?

26 components, from 19 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the RepeatElectronicGame design files?

From the hotkeysoft/repeatElectronicGame-kicad repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the RepeatElectronicGame design in my own project?

Yes, under the terms of its MIT license, which hotkeysoft chose for the repository.

Can I test firmware for the RepeatElectronicGame without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug AVR/Arduino firmware against it before you order a PCB.
