About the Stm32-datalogger PCB

Stm32-datalogger is an open source STM32 PCB design by Iamshubham3, published on GitHub. It is a 4-layer board measuring 48.6 × 36.8 mm, with 37 components from 24 distinct parts.

Its main chip is the STM32F103C8Tx, from the STM32 family. Other key parts include the AMS1117-3.3 and 24LC1025. By type, the board carries 16 capacitors, 7 resistors, 4 ICs, 4 connectors, 2 crystals and 1 switch.

It belongs with the power & battery designs in this gallery.

From the project

STM32 datalogger PCB in KiCad — battery-backed RTC (LSE crystal), I2C EEPROM, VBAT domain, ERC/DRC verified

This project started from an STM32 dev-board baseline and was extended into a datalogger-oriented PCB. Main additions: external EEPROM (I2C), LSE crystal for RTC accuracy, and backup cell support to keep RTC running when main power is off.

Stm32-datalogger: common questions

What microcontroller does the Stm32-datalogger use?

The Stm32-datalogger is built around the STM32F103C8Tx, from the STM32 family.

How big is the Stm32-datalogger PCB?

The Stm32-datalogger measures 48.6 × 36.8 mm, has 4 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Stm32-datalogger?

37 components, from 24 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Stm32-datalogger design files?

From the Iamshubham3/stm32-datalogger-kicad repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Stm32-datalogger design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with Iamshubham3. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.

Can I test firmware for the Stm32-datalogger without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug STM32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
