About the SPL06 PCB

SPL06 is an open source PCB design by iNavFlight, published on GitHub. It is a 2-layer board measuring 11.6 × 10.4 mm, with 7 components from 5 distinct parts.

Other key parts include the SPL06. By type, the board carries 3 resistors, 2 capacitors, 1 IC and 1 connector.

- 2x 0603 100n capacitor - 1x LGA8 SPL06-001 - 2x 0603 10k resistor (optional, skip if the I2C master has adequate pull-ups) - 1x 0603 100k resistor (optional, needed for alternative I2C addr)

Soldering the SPL06 with an iron can be tricky. Use hot air/reflow oven/hot plate instead. Passives are 0603, so easily doable with just an iron.

SPL06: common questions

How big is the SPL06 PCB?

The SPL06 measures 11.6 × 10.4 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the SPL06?

7 components, from 5 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the SPL06 design files?

From the iNavFlight/hardware repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the SPL06 design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with iNavFlight. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.
