About the Intellicart PCB
Intellicart is an open source NXP PCB design by intelliputer, published on GitHub under the GPL-3.0 license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 68.1 × 98.9 mm, with 22 components from 12 distinct parts.
Its main chip is the TEENSY4.1, from the NXP family. Other key parts include the 74LVC245. By type, the board carries 6 resistors, 5 ICs, 4 capacitors, 3 switches, 2 connectors and 2 diodes.
From the project
Cartridge project and development of custom ROM
Intellicart is a flash-cartridge project for the Mattel Intellivision. It loads Intellivision program images from a micro SD card and presents a small OLED/button interface for selecting and starting them on original hardware.
This repository brings together the hardware design, fabrication package, firmware, user documentation, and a small reverse-engineering workspace for experimenting with human--agent gameplay.

Intellicart: common questions
What microcontroller does the Intellicart use?
The Intellicart is built around the TEENSY4.1, from the NXP family.
How big is the Intellicart PCB?
The Intellicart measures 68.1 × 98.9 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.
How many components are on the Intellicart?
22 components, from 12 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.
Where can I download the Intellicart design files?
From the intelliputer/intellicart repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.
Can I use the Intellicart design in my own project?
Yes, under the terms of its GPL-3.0 license, which intelliputer chose for the repository.
Can I test firmware for the Intellicart without the hardware?
Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug NXP firmware against it before you order a PCB.
