About the Recyclobot PCB

Recyclobot is an open source PCB design by jeff4444, published on GitHub. It is a 2-layer board measuring 49.5 × 48 mm, with 19 components from 9 distinct parts.

Other key parts include the LM3914N. By type, the board carries 11 diodes, 4 resistors, 2 transistors, 1 IC and 1 connector.

It belongs with the sensors, displays & leds and power & battery designs in this gallery.

An LED bar graph display PCB using the LM3914 dot/bar display driver IC.

This board provides a visual 10-LED bar graph display to represent an analog signal level. The LM3914 scales the input voltage linearly across its outputs, illuminating LEDs progressively as the signal increases. This is commonly used with proximity/distance sensors to provide a visual indication of signal strength or distance.

Recyclobot: common questions

How big is the Recyclobot PCB?

The Recyclobot measures 49.5 × 48 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Recyclobot?

19 components, from 9 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Recyclobot design files?

From the jeff4444/kicad-projects repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Recyclobot design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with jeff4444. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.
