About the Oxygen concentrator PCB

Oxygen concentrator is an open source AVR/Arduino PCB design by Jibin-Manual, published on GitHub under the GPL-3.0 license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 68.6 × 53.3 mm, with 34 components from 6 distinct parts.

Its main chip is the Arduino_UNO_R3_Shield, from the AVR/Arduino family. By type, the board carries 13 connectors, 9 transistors, 9 resistors, 2 capacitors and 1 module.

1. Flow diagram/design: finished. 2. Mechanical construction: finished. 3. Electronics: designed, made and tested. 4. Software: written, compiled, and tested. 5. Testing: ongoing.

Version 1 of this (up to commit 422aa3) didn't work because the air was not flowing through the zeolite in a smooth consistent manner under pressure. So this is now work-in-progress on Version 2 (from commit 3a930c0) which we hope will fix the problem.

Oxygen concentrator: common questions

What microcontroller does the Oxygen concentrator use?

The Oxygen concentrator is built around the Arduino_UNO_R3_Shield, from the AVR/Arduino family.

How big is the Oxygen concentrator PCB?

The Oxygen concentrator measures 68.6 × 53.3 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Oxygen concentrator?

34 components, from 6 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Oxygen concentrator design files?

From the Jibin-Manual/Oxygen-concentrator repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Oxygen concentrator design in my own project?

Yes, under the terms of its GPL-3.0 license, which Jibin-Manual chose for the repository.

Can I test firmware for the Oxygen concentrator without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug AVR/Arduino firmware against it before you order a PCB.
