About the Ecal PCB

Ecal is an open source PCB design by joshajohnson, published on GitHub under the GPL-3.0 license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 30 × 30 mm, with 14 components from 11 distinct parts.

Other key parts include the LP5912 and PE42440. By type, the board carries 5 capacitors, 3 connectors, 2 ICs, 2 resistors, 1 fuse and 1 diode.

From the project

25MHz to 1.25GHz Vector Network Analyser

Design is feature complete, but not suitable for use. Due to hardware issues the error is unacceptably large, and as such I can not recommend assembling one of these.

Ecal: common questions

How big is the Ecal PCB?

The Ecal measures 30 × 30 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Ecal?

14 components, from 11 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Ecal design files?

From the joshajohnson/vna repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Ecal design in my own project?

Yes, under the terms of its GPL-3.0 license, which joshajohnson chose for the repository.
