About the MiniMac PCB
MiniMac is an open source PCB design by kaleb973, published on GitHub under the MIT license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 113.9 × 111.1 mm, with 34 components from 4 distinct parts.
Other key parts include the MOUDLE-SEEEDUINO-XIAO. By type, the board carries 16 switches, 16 diodes, 1 IC and 1 connector.
It belongs with the keyboards and displays & leds designs in this gallery.
From the project
Presenting Mini Mac. This is an external keypad to serve as functions that my current keyboard uses function keys for, like screenshot, which is (fn + u). This project will serve as a huge productivity upgrade.
I am also requesting a grant for a soldering iron (obviously with solder) for this project from Hack Club.
I used heatset inserts and M3x16mm screws for the case.
It has a simple Top and Bottom. The PCB sits in the middle.
This image displays the full model with the PCB inside.
I intend to change the keys occasionally.
