About the Pojet 1A PCB

Pojet 1A is an open source STM32 PCB design by Kennystflr, published on GitHub. It is a 4-layer board measuring 60 × 60 mm, with 97 components from 45 distinct parts.

Its main chip is the STM32G491CET6, from the STM32 family. Other key parts include the TCPP01-M12, AZ1117-5.0, USBLC6-2SC6 and SGTL5000XNLA3. By type, the board carries 42 capacitors, 21 resistors, 9 connectors, 6 transistors, 5 ICs and 4 diodes.

It belongs with the audio and power & battery designs in this gallery.

From the project

Design of the electronic board for a speaker.

The purpose of this project is to design the electronic of a speaker. More specifically the goal is to take an entry signal from Jack 6.35 mm connector and to have sound coming out of a stereo loudspeaker. We could also have a parametric eq using 2 encoders 1 for the gain and 1 for the frequency we would be changing. We also want to have the system working on battery with Usb-C power delivery to charge-up the battery and power up the system even if there is no battery connected.

Pojet 1A: common questions

What microcontroller does the Pojet 1A use?

The Pojet 1A is built around the STM32G491CET6, from the STM32 family.

How big is the Pojet 1A PCB?

The Pojet 1A measures 60 × 60 mm, has 4 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Pojet 1A?

97 components, from 45 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Pojet 1A design files?

From the Kennystflr/Lightning-speaker repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Pojet 1A design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with Kennystflr. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.

Can I test firmware for the Pojet 1A without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug STM32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
