PWM power output generator

PWM power output generator for utilization in training arangements.

Generates a 0 to 100% duty cycle to the load at the output. The dyty cycle can be controlled by an potentiometer. Operating voltage 12VDC. Max. current 3A. In addition it features Inverse supply voltage protection and over-voltage protection. The board fits into a Hammond 1593K enclosure.

Most of PWM generator designs are based on 555 ICs. But I haven't found a circuit that covers up the full range from 0 to 100% duty cycle. Thus I used a more basic design: A combination of a Schmitt trigger and a Integrator, both…

Pwm generator: common questions

How big is the Pwm generator PCB?

The Pwm generator measures 56.6 × 57.7 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.59 mm thick.

How many components are on the Pwm generator?

32 components, from 26 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Pwm generator design files?

From the Kibabalu/pwm_generator repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Pwm generator design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with Kibabalu. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.
