48 V nominal (13S Li-ion, 54.6 V full). All power parts are rated 100 V and the TVS clamps at 60 V standoff. 35 A battery current limit and 60 A phase current limit. Both are set in firmware and can be changed over UART. Field-oriented control (FOC) using the hall sensors, with angle interpolation, for quiet and smooth torque from standstill. Throttle input (standard 0.8–4.2 V hall throttle). Momentary power button. Press to switch on, hold for 2 s to switch off. Standby current is a few µA. FWD/REV…

Bldc: common questions
What microcontroller does the Bldc use?
The Bldc is built around the STM32G431CBT6, from the STM32 family.
How big is the Bldc PCB?
The Bldc measures 190 × 120 mm, has 4 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.
How many components are on the Bldc?
163 components, from 58 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.
Where can I download the Bldc design files?
From the kobertkirk/bldc repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.
Can I use the Bldc design in my own project?
The repository has no license, so all rights stay with kobertkirk. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.
Can I test firmware for the Bldc without the hardware?
Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug STM32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
