About the Wch probe PCB

Wch probe is an open source PCB design by korken89, published on GitHub under the CERN-OHL-P-2.0 license. It is a 4-layer board measuring 33 × 11 mm, with 33 components from 19 distinct parts.

Other key parts include the AP2112K-3.3, CH412K, CH347F, TLV9062IDDFR and NUF8401MNT4G. By type, the board carries 11 capacitors, 9 resistors, 5 ICs, 4 diodes, 2 connectors and 1 crystal.

It belongs with the usb & debug tools designs in this gallery.

From the project

CH347F-based JTAG & SWD debug probe

KiCad hardware for a CH347F-based JTAG & SWD debug probe. USB-C on one end, a 10-pin 1.27 mm Cortex debug header on the other, plus a UART on the bottom-side TX/RX/GND pads. The I/O voltage (VIO) tracks the target's VTref (valid range 1.8 V to 3.3 V), and defaults to 3.3 V when the target does not drive VTref.

The fabrication outputs (gerber zip, BOM, placement file, schematic PDF) for each board revision are attached to the releases. To generate them locally, make fab writes the same set to Fabrication/ and make check runs ERC and DRC; both need KiCad 10's kicad-cli.

Wch probe: common questions

How big is the Wch probe PCB?

The Wch probe measures 33 × 11 mm, has 4 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Wch probe?

33 components, from 19 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Wch probe design files?

From the korken89/wch-probe repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Wch probe design in my own project?

Yes, under the terms of its CERN-OHL-P-2.0 license, which korken89 chose for the repository.
