About the Kopesh PCB

Kopesh is an open source PCB design by Koumbaya, published on GitHub. It is a 2-layer board measuring 325.2 × 131.1 mm, with 105 components from 6 distinct parts.

Other key parts include the ProMicro. By type, the board carries 55 LEDs, 47 diodes, 1 IC, 1 connector and 1 switch.

It belongs with the keyboards and displays & leds designs in this gallery.

The Kopesh is an "alice-ortho" 40% (well, almost 50%...) Keyboard with (optionals) OLED and undeglow.

I've tried to give multiples options regarding mounting and plates so here you will find : - a Sandwish-mount acrylic case, where the PCB is just "hanging" and the whole thing is a stack of acrylic and (optionnaly) metal for the switchplate

- cutouts for a more slim case (just a bottom plate, switchplate) which can be made either of FR4 materials (PCB) or acrylic.

Kopesh: common questions

How big is the Kopesh PCB?

The Kopesh measures 325.2 × 131.1 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Kopesh?

105 components, from 6 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Kopesh design files?

From the Koumbaya/Kopesh repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Kopesh design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with Koumbaya. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.
