About the Ground station PCB

Ground station is an open source PCB design by linguini1, published on GitHub. It is a 4-layer board measuring 65.5 × 32 mm, with 26 components from 18 distinct parts.

Other key parts include the FT230XS, RN2903, LM3671MF and USBLC6-2SC6. By type, the board carries 11 capacitors, 5 resistors, 4 ICs, 3 connectors, 2 inductors and 1 diode.

RP2040-based flight computer for rockets

This project is a rocket flight computer design for my TRA L1 certification flight. The name is a play on the fact that it's designed to be small and also runs on a Pi (Py) chip. Yes, that means you can program it with MicroPython (Py).

The Pygmy was designed with the [Apache NuttX RTOS][nuttx] in mind (you can find the board support for it [here][pygmy-nx]), but it is also possible to program it using the Pico C SDK or MicroPython (or really, whatever else you can flash on an RP2040).

Ground station: common questions

How big is the Ground station PCB?

The Ground station measures 65.5 × 32 mm, has 4 copper layers and is 1.6062 mm thick.

How many components are on the Ground station?

26 components, from 18 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Ground station design files?

From the linguini1/pygmy repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Ground station design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with linguini1. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.
