About the OneBoard PCB

OneBoard is an open source RP2040/RP2350 PCB design by liub1606, published on GitHub. It is a 2-layer board measuring 151 × 103 mm, with 41 components from 5 distinct parts.

Its main chip is the Seeed Studio XIAO RP2040, from the RP2040/RP2350 family. By type, the board carries 19 switches, 19 diodes and 1 IC.

It belongs with the keyboards designs in this gallery.

From the project

Repo for my one-handed keyboard.

OneBoard is a 20(ish) percent keyboard with a rotary encoder. It uses QMK firmware running on a RP2040.

Made using Onshape: https://cad.onshape.com/documents/e6a77505b9b66916f410a9e2/w/3fad1cba9b12220fb1d6acfb/e/3a9642192f18001e0b7e9c0b?renderMode=0&uiState=69bc452a0bbfb517c13afba3

- The rotary encoder changes volume, press the encoder to pause media. - Basically acts like the left side of a full sized keyboard.

OneBoard: common questions

What microcontroller does the OneBoard use?

The OneBoard is built around the Seeed Studio XIAO RP2040, from the RP2040/RP2350 family.

How big is the OneBoard PCB?

The OneBoard measures 151 × 103 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the OneBoard?

41 components, from 5 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the OneBoard design files?

From the liub1606/OneBoard repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the OneBoard design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with liub1606. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.

Can I test firmware for the OneBoard without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug RP2040/RP2350 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
