About the RF ProtoBoard Extended PCB

RF ProtoBoard Extended is an open source PCB design by maelh, published on GitHub under the BSD-3-Clause license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 99.6 × 87.6 mm, with 1 components from 1 distinct parts.

It belongs with the rf & radio designs in this gallery.

Radio frequency prototype boards (based on MegawattKS' design)

When designing radio frequency (RF) circuits, we cannot rely on traditional perfboards or breadboards. Suitable boards need a ground plane (essential for reducing noise in RF circuits), and should have minimal parasitic capacitances and inductances. Breadboards are especially unsuited, due to their RF circuit altering parasitics (mainly created by the horizontal signal rails, and the vertical power rails).
