About the Raspberry bioamplifier PCB

Raspberry bioamplifier is an open source PCB design by martijnschouten, published on GitHub under the GPL-3.0 license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 28.6 × 48.9 mm, with 91 components from 12 distinct parts.

Other key parts include the AD8618, LP5907, ADS131A4 and AD8605. By type, the board carries 58 resistors, 21 capacitors, 6 connectors, 5 ICs and 1 crystal.

From the project

A bioamplifier based on a Raspberry Pi that streams data to matlab

The PCB is designed using Kicad and it's dimensions are such that it can be ordered as a 5x5cm pcb at the big chinese PCB manufacturers.

The PCB contains an 24 bit ADC, a quad opamp for measurements and one aditional single opamp that can be used as a driven right leg. As this was a prototype, each opamp has many resistors placed around it that do not all have to be soldered. By soldering certain resistors the opamp can be configured as for example a FMG sensor or as an EMG sensor.
