About the MCU Dev Board
MCU Dev Board is an open source STM32 PCB design by maumana25, published on GitHub under the MIT license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 58.5 × 46.5 mm, with 28 components from 19 distinct parts.
Its main chip is the STM32F103C8Tx, from the STM32 family. Other key parts include the AMS1117-3.3. By type, the board carries 9 capacitors, 2 ICs, 2 LEDs, 2 resistors, 1 crystal and 1 connector.
It belongs with the iot & wireless and dev boards & breakouts designs in this gallery.
From the project
From-scratch PCB designs in KiCad, covering embedded, IoT/wireless, and power electronics, with schematics, layouts, Gerbers, BOM, and 3D renders.
Domain: Embedded Status: Complete — schematic, layout, ERC/DRC clean, manufacturing outputs generated Deliverables: schematic · PCB layout · Gerbers + drill · BOM + interactive HTML BOM · 3D renders
A general-purpose microcontroller board built around an STM32F103C8T6 (LQFP48), designed from discrete parts rather than cloned from a reference. Comparable in role to a "Blue Pill", drawn from scratch: power tree, full decoupling network, HSE crystal, reset and boot-mode circuits, SWD and UART programming interfaces, a USB-device-ready front end, and GPIO broken out on both long edges.

MCU Dev Board: common questions
What microcontroller does the MCU Dev Board use?
The MCU Dev Board is built around the STM32F103C8Tx, from the STM32 family.
How big is the MCU Dev Board?
The MCU Dev Board measures 58.5 × 46.5 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.
How many components are on the MCU Dev Board?
28 components, from 19 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.
Where can I download the MCU Dev Board design files?
From the maumana25/kicad-hardware-portfolio repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.
Can I use the MCU Dev Board design in my own project?
Yes, under the terms of its MIT license, which maumana25 chose for the repository.
Can I test firmware for the MCU Dev Board without the hardware?
Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug STM32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
