About the Majestouch stm32 PCB
Majestouch stm32 is an open source STM32 PCB design by mbtech-nl, published on GitHub under the MIT license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 50 × 18 mm, with 20 components from 13 distinct parts.
Its main chip is the STM32F072CBT6, from the STM32 family. Other key parts include the AP2112K-3.3 and USBLC6-2SC6. By type, the board carries 9 capacitors, 4 connectors, 4 resistors and 3 ICs.
It belongs with the keyboards designs in this gallery.
From the project
Drop-in replacement controller for the full-size Filco Majestouch: STM32F072, QMK with NKRO over USB. KiCad 7 board, hand-solderable.
A drop-in replacement controller for the full-size Filco Majestouch, built around an STM32F072. It replaces the stock daughterboard, plugs into the same 36-pin header on the main PCB and runs QMK; the QMK keyboard definition is included.
I was looking for a replacement for my 2010 Majestouch, but gave it a full service and fresh keycaps instead. Reading up on it, I came across the Kitten Paw (ATmega32U2 + 74HC154), the replacement controller for Costar boards such as the Filco, about a decade after everyone else did, and Majestouch-2-TKL-Replacement-Controller, which does the same for the…

Majestouch stm32: common questions
What microcontroller does the Majestouch stm32 use?
The Majestouch stm32 is built around the STM32F072CBT6, from the STM32 family.
How big is the Majestouch stm32 PCB?
The Majestouch stm32 measures 50 × 18 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.
How many components are on the Majestouch stm32?
20 components, from 13 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.
Where can I download the Majestouch stm32 design files?
From the mbtech-nl/majestouch-stm32 repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.
Can I use the Majestouch stm32 design in my own project?
Yes, under the terms of its MIT license, which mbtech-nl chose for the repository.
Can I test firmware for the Majestouch stm32 without the hardware?
Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug STM32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
