About the A2R-100k PCB

A2R-100k is an open source AVR/Arduino PCB design by mgiesen, published on GitHub. It is a 2-layer board measuring 68 × 23 mm, with 20 components from 15 distinct parts.

Its main chip is the ATTINY85-20PU, from the AVR/Arduino family. Other key parts include the MCP41HV51-104E/ST and HT7550-1_C347189. By type, the board carries 6 connectors, 6 capacitors, 3 ICs, 3 resistors, 1 fuse and 1 diode.

From the project

Universeller Signalwandler: Analoges Steuersignal (0-10V / 0-5V / 4-20mA) → einstellbarer Widerstand (100kΩ). Ersetzt mechanische Potentiometer in 12V/24V Systemen.

A2R-100k: common questions

What microcontroller does the A2R-100k use?

The A2R-100k is built around the ATTINY85-20PU, from the AVR/Arduino family.

How big is the A2R-100k PCB?

The A2R-100k measures 68 × 23 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the A2R-100k?

20 components, from 15 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the A2R-100k design files?

From the mgiesen/A2R-100k repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the A2R-100k design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with mgiesen. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.

Can I test firmware for the A2R-100k without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug AVR/Arduino firmware against it before you order a PCB.
