About the EncoderBoard PCB

EncoderBoard is an open source PCB design by mkousal, published on GitHub. It is a 2-layer board measuring 20 × 10 mm, with 5 components from 5 distinct parts.

Other key parts include the MH253. By type, the board carries 2 capacitors, 1 IC, 1 connector and 1 resistor.

It belongs with the displays & leds and sensors designs in this gallery.

Our application uses two hall sensors for measuring speed, traveled distance, burnt calories and time (not by the hall sensor). This data is shown on four 7segment displays (one part). - Calories counting - Total time - Total distance traveled - Trip distance traveled - Speed measuring

EncoderBoard: common questions

How big is the EncoderBoard PCB?

The EncoderBoard measures 20 × 10 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the EncoderBoard?

5 components, from 5 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the EncoderBoard design files?

From the mkousal/Digital-electronics-1-Tachometer repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the EncoderBoard design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with mkousal. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.
