About the H-bridge PCB

H-bridge is an open source AVR/Arduino PCB design by Mohamed-U3, published on GitHub under the MIT license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 97 × 50 mm, with 47 components from 28 distinct parts.

Its main chip is the ATmega328P-A, from the AVR/Arduino family. Other key parts include the IR2110, LM7815_TO220 and LM7805_TO220. By type, the board carries 12 diodes, 9 capacitors, 7 connectors, 7 resistors, 5 ICs and 4 transistors.

From the project

H-bridge with MOSFETs and IR2110 designed with KiCAD

A professional H-bridge motor driver PCB designed for bidirectional DC motor control with 24V power supply and microcontroller-based control interface.

This H-bridge circuit board enables bidirectional control of DC motors with overcurrent protection, isolated gate drivers, and integrated power regulation. The design features high-current MOSFETs capable of handling significant motor loads with proper heat dissipation.

H-bridge: common questions

What microcontroller does the H-bridge use?

The H-bridge is built around the ATmega328P-A, from the AVR/Arduino family.

How big is the H-bridge PCB?

The H-bridge measures 97 × 50 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the H-bridge?

47 components, from 28 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the H-bridge design files?

From the Mohamed-U3/H-bridge-PCB repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the H-bridge design in my own project?

Yes, under the terms of its MIT license, which Mohamed-U3 chose for the repository.

Can I test firmware for the H-bridge without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug AVR/Arduino firmware against it before you order a PCB.
