MOSH - Smart Devices – Arduino Gas Sensor Shield

This project was completed as part of the "Smart Devices" Course of the Mastère spécialisé Innovative and secure IoT systems at INSA Toulouse.

- The aim of the project is to design an Arduino shield that incorporates a nanoparticle gas sensor and a RN2483 LoRa Module, which allows data from the gas sensor to be transmitted to a LoRa Gateway, through which it can be uploaded to the Cloud or a local network. - The Arduino Gas Sensor Shield was designed using KiCad, a printed circuit board (PCB) design software package. - The Shield…

Alami Powar Gas Sensor Shield: common questions

What microcontroller does the Alami Powar Gas Sensor Shield use?

The Alami Powar Gas Sensor Shield is built around the Arduino_1pin, from the AVR/Arduino family.

How big is the Alami Powar Gas Sensor Shield?

The Alami Powar Gas Sensor Shield measures 68.6 × 53.3 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Alami Powar Gas Sensor Shield?

21 components, from 14 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Alami Powar Gas Sensor Shield design files?

From the MOSH-Insa-Toulouse/Alami_Powar_Gas_Sensor_Shield repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Alami Powar Gas Sensor Shield design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with MOSH-Insa-Toulouse. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.

Can I test firmware for the Alami Powar Gas Sensor Shield without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug AVR/Arduino firmware against it before you order a PCB.
