About the Jamme PCB

Jamme is an open source ESP32 PCB design by MRxAlc0h0lic, published on GitHub. It is a board, with 9 components from 8 distinct parts.

Its main chip is the ESP32_TOP_1x15, from the ESP32 family. By type, the board carries 4 connectors, 3 capacitors, 1 module and 1 switch.

It belongs with the power & battery and iot & wireless designs in this gallery.

A battery-powered wireless sensor node. An ESP32-WROOM-32 reads a sensor and transmits the data over an nRF24L01+PA/LNA 2.4 GHz radio to a matching receiver, up to ~1 km line-of-sight. Powered by a 3.7 V Li-ion cell charged over USB-C through a TP4056 module, with a 12 mm latching ON/OFF switch.

Jamme: common questions

What microcontroller does the Jamme use?

The Jamme is built around the ESP32_TOP_1x15, from the ESP32 family.

How many components are on the Jamme?

9 components, from 8 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Jamme design files?

From the MRxAlc0h0lic/jamme repository on GitHub, which has a netlist and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Jamme design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with MRxAlc0h0lic. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.

Can I test firmware for the Jamme without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug ESP32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
