About the The manta75 PCB

The manta75 is an open source AVR/Arduino PCB design by mymakercorner, published on GitHub under the CC-BY-4.0 license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 312.3 × 138.8 mm, with 197 components from 22 distinct parts.

Its main chip is the C45874, from the AVR/Arduino family. By type, the board carries 95 switches, 86 diodes, 8 capacitors, 4 resistors, 1 IC and 1 crystal.

It belongs with the keyboards designs in this gallery.

From the project

The Manta75, a productivity focused 75% keyboard from 'The Sea Collection'

The Manta75 is an exploded arrows and nav clusters 75% keyboard with a curvy bottom. It is the second project of the Sea Collection and as such it's name is taken from one of the species we see in our oceans, the Manta ray.

The Satisfaction 75 have this similar exploded arrows/nav clusters, on the manta75 I went with no knob and screen to maximize the number of available keys.

The manta75: common questions

What microcontroller does the The manta75 use?

The The manta75 is built around the C45874, from the AVR/Arduino family.

How big is the The manta75 PCB?

The The manta75 measures 312.3 × 138.8 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the The manta75?

197 components, from 22 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the The manta75 design files?

From the mymakercorner/the_manta75 repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the The manta75 design in my own project?

Yes, under the terms of its CC-BY-4.0 license, which mymakercorner chose for the repository.

Can I test firmware for the The manta75 without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug AVR/Arduino firmware against it before you order a PCB.
