About the Bazz fuss PCB

Bazz fuss is an open source PCB design by nohgo, published on GitHub. It is a 2-layer board measuring 50.8 × 27.9 mm, with 6 components from 6 distinct parts.

By type, the board carries 2 capacitors, 1 transistor, 1 diode and 1 resistor.

It belongs with the audio and dev boards & breakouts designs in this gallery.

From the project

A bazz fuss circuit modeled in LTSpice and breadboarded.

The effects are best observed by plotting the waveform at the collector of the transistor, as the capacitor at the end removes the DC.

I first simulated the circuit in LTSpice and observed the waveform while using the simulator to develop my conceptual understanding.

I then breadboarded the circuit (try out both transistors)

Bazz fuss: common questions

How big is the Bazz fuss PCB?

The Bazz fuss measures 50.8 × 27.9 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Bazz fuss?

6 components, from 6 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Bazz fuss design files?

From the nohgo/bazz-fuss repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Bazz fuss design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with nohgo. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.
