About the Led chaser PCB

Led chaser is an open source PCB design by notyourcto, published on GitHub. It is a 2-layer board measuring 87 × 38.9 mm, with 30 components from 10 distinct parts.

Other key parts include the NE555P and 4017. By type, the board carries 12 resistors, 11 diodes, 3 capacitors, 2 ICs and 1 battery holder.

From the project

designed pcb for led-chaser

this project is abt me trying pcb design after attending build guild by hackclub. we were building this led chaser circuit on breadboard during the event itself and after initial protyping i started working on design.

it uses ne555 timer to generate clock and cd4017 to light leds one by one.

10 leds light up one after another speed can be changed using potentiometer * runs on 9v battery

Led chaser: common questions

How big is the Led chaser PCB?

The Led chaser measures 87 × 38.9 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Led chaser?

30 components, from 10 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Led chaser design files?

From the notyourcto/led-chaser repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Led chaser design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with notyourcto. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.
