About the JLR-MOST-Reader PCB
JLR-MOST-Reader is an open source PCB design by Oleg-mk, published on GitHub under the CERN-OHL-S-2.0 license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 84.9 × 26.5 mm, with 56 components from 34 distinct parts.
Other key parts include the 74LVC1G34, 74LVC1G125, 74LVC1G123, TPS7B8133DRV and LMR38020F. By type, the board carries 27 capacitors, 12 resistors, 5 ICs, 4 inductors, 3 connectors and 3 diodes.
From the project
Listen-only MOST25 adapter for JLR: the factory stereo out over TOSLINK, the car's own volume controls applied digitally with no quality loss
v2.0 is v1.0's electronics, plus two series resistors (R43, R44, below) and a smaller C45, on a board that slides into a square aluminium tube with two end caps: a 30x30x1.5 tube (27.0 inside), a board 26.5 mm wide, the module's own USB-C in the far end cap with no extension cable. v1.0 (readerhw`) is not touched.
genreader2.py does not draw the circuit again: it loads readerhw/genreader.py and writes its blocks 1-7 into this folder, under the project name mostreaderv2` with its own UUIDs. It changes what describes the board and adds two resistors:
