Open source eGPU dock for ROG Ally and ROG Flow

XG Mobile Dock ============== This open source hardware allows you to connect any PCIe card to an ASUS ROG device with the XG Mobile connector.

The standard variant is a drop-in replacement PCB for the [XG Station Pro Thunderbolt 3 eGPU dock][1]. It contains a built in USB 3.1 Gen 2 hub and a USB PD charger.

The lite variant is a standalone board that is compatible in dimensions with the [ADT-UT3G][6]. It requires a standard ATX power supply and passes through the USB to an external port.

XG Mobile Dock: common questions

What microcontroller does the XG Mobile Dock use?

The XG Mobile Dock is built around the STM32F030C8T6, from the STM32 family.

How big is the XG Mobile Dock PCB?

The XG Mobile Dock measures 237.9 × 80.5 mm, has 6 copper layers and is 1.5584 mm thick.

How many components are on the XG Mobile Dock?

286 components, from 82 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the XG Mobile Dock design files?

From the osy/XG_Mobile_Station repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the XG Mobile Dock design in my own project?

Yes, under the terms of its CC-BY-4.0 license, which osy chose for the repository.

Can I test firmware for the XG Mobile Dock without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug STM32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
