Automated Sample Agitation Transportation System

We are an Electrical Engineering Capstone group from the University of California, Santa Cruz. Our project aims to design a more efficient, more cost-effective solution for medical staff and researchers to process human samples for imaging.

Here is an overview of the file structure: - Five folders for each group member - "Motor-Controller-Board" contains PCB files for the Motor Controller PCB - "Touchscreen-Hardware" contains PCB files for the two revisions of the touchscreen PCB - "Firmware" contains the firmware for both PCBs

Stm32f429vit6 v1 orthogonal: common questions

What microcontroller does the Stm32f429vit6 v1 orthogonal use?

The Stm32f429vit6 v1 orthogonal is built around the STM32F429VITx, from the STM32 family.

How big is the Stm32f429vit6 v1 orthogonal PCB?

The Stm32f429vit6 v1 orthogonal measures 80 × 64.8 mm, has 4 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Stm32f429vit6 v1 orthogonal?

39 components, from 22 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Stm32f429vit6 v1 orthogonal design files?

From the pestvillian/ASAT repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Stm32f429vit6 v1 orthogonal design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with pestvillian. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.

Can I test firmware for the Stm32f429vit6 v1 orthogonal without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug STM32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
