About the Onstep ramps shield
Onstep ramps shield is an open source PCB design by philipreinken, published on GitHub under the GPL-3.0 license. It is a board measuring 116.8 × 67.3 mm, with 31 components from 19 distinct parts.
By type, the board carries 5 resistors, 2 diodes and 1 buzzer.
It belongs with the dev boards & breakouts and sensors designs in this gallery.
From the project
An add-on board which allows placing additional hardware for OnStep on a RAMPS board
This is an add-on board for a RAMPSv1.4 (and some later versions) board, which carries a bit of additional hardware necessary for an OnStep telescope controller.
There are different ways to build an OnStep, including using a completely custom board, but I liked the modular approach and used an Arduino Mega in combination with a RAMPS shield. The custom boards of course offer places to fit connectors and such which the Arduino/RAMPS combination doesn't, so I'm trying to build this board to help with that.
