About the Temper PCB

Temper is an open source PCB design by raeedcho, published on GitHub under the CERN-OHL-P-2.0 license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 111.3 × 90 mm, with 41 components from 7 distinct parts.

Other key parts include the nice_nano. By type, the board carries 18 switches, 18 diodes, 1 IC, 1 connector and 1 battery holder.

It belongs with the keyboards and iot & wireless designs in this gallery.

This folder houses all of the KiCAD files for the temper PCB.

This PCB is designed to be reversible--this means that it can function as either the left or the right half, depending on which side the assembler solders the jumpers and parts.

For this to work, the schematic was designed for one half of the keyboard, as in the image above. Then, I laid out the board using reversible footprints (see resources in main README).

Temper: common questions

How big is the Temper PCB?

The Temper measures 111.3 × 90 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Temper?

41 components, from 7 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Temper design files?

From the raeedcho/temper repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Temper design in my own project?

Yes, under the terms of its CERN-OHL-P-2.0 license, which raeedcho chose for the repository.
