About the Lichtschranke-M-jack PCB

Lichtschranke-M-jack is an open source AVR/Arduino PCB design by REcassy, published on GitHub under the GPL-3.0 license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 40 × 60 mm, with 12 components from 7 distinct parts.

Its main chip is the ATtiny25-20P, from the AVR/Arduino family. Other key parts include the USBLC6. By type, the board carries 5 connectors, 3 capacitors, 2 ICs and 2 resistors.

It belongs with the sensors designs in this gallery.

This repo is under active development, so schematic and pcb files may not match always. Use the current release for production: https://github.com/REcassy/Lichtschranke-M/releases/tag/v1.0

Use at your own risk - especially drawing power. There is no public information on current limiting or fuses inside the Mobile Cassy. Always prefer LED to incandescent bulbs.

Lichtschranke-M-jack: common questions

What microcontroller does the Lichtschranke-M-jack use?

The Lichtschranke-M-jack is built around the ATtiny25-20P, from the AVR/Arduino family.

How big is the Lichtschranke-M-jack PCB?

The Lichtschranke-M-jack measures 40 × 60 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Lichtschranke-M-jack?

12 components, from 7 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Lichtschranke-M-jack design files?

From the REcassy/Lichtschrankenadapter-M repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Lichtschranke-M-jack design in my own project?

Yes, under the terms of its GPL-3.0 license, which REcassy chose for the repository.

Can I test firmware for the Lichtschranke-M-jack without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug AVR/Arduino firmware against it before you order a PCB.
