About the Punchcard Reader PCB

Punchcard Reader is an open source PCB design by Robert-Mones, published on GitHub. It is a 4-layer board measuring 68.5 × 43.5 mm, with 36 components from 10 distinct parts.

Other key parts include the 74HC541. By type, the board carries 12 capacitors, 11 diodes, 11 resistors and 2 ICs.

It belongs with the displays & leds and retro computing designs in this gallery.

From the project

A reverse Polish notation calculator with added features such as comparisons, branching, and custom recursive operators taken from the Clac project from the 15-122 course at Carnegie Mellon University. The project is built around a 6502 microprocessor with a custom architecture to reduce CPU load by making peripherals operate asyncronously.
