Its main chip is the MIMXRT1062DVJ6B, from the NXP family. Other key parts include the opto_APA102-2020, MAX1562, W25Q64JVXGIM and Custom firmware part. By type, the board carries 26 capacitors, 16 resistors, 8 connectors, 5 ICs, 5 diodes and 3 inductors.

From the project

This is where i save my progress on a model rocket I am building from the groundup to perfect my engineering skills in: PCB Design, CAD, Systems Simulation, Control Systems and way more!

I'm a consultant based in Oslo/Norway, so get in touch if you need custom hardware based on Teensy 4.x.

I just removed the chip and soldered bodge-wires to bypass it. This also works, but I guess it then lacks protection. I've tested with keyboard & mouse.

Teensy4.1-example: common questions

What microcontroller does the Teensy4.1-example use?

The Teensy4.1-example is built around the MIMXRT1062DVJ6B, from the NXP family.

How big is the Teensy4.1-example PCB?

The Teensy4.1-example measures 61.5 × 47.5 mm, has 4 copper layers and is 4.69 mm thick.

How many components are on the Teensy4.1-example?

73 components, from 41 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Teensy4.1-example design files?

From the Sanassah/RocketPower repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Teensy4.1-example design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with Sanassah. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.

Can I test firmware for the Teensy4.1-example without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug NXP firmware against it before you order a PCB.
