About the Sensor - MA600A PCB

Sensor - MA600A is an open source RP2040/RP2350 PCB design by sedlak477, published on GitHub under the CERN-OHL-P-2.0 license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 22.3 × 20 mm, with 4 components from 4 distinct parts.

Its main chip is the 781715006, from the RP2040/RP2350 family. Other key parts include the MA600AGQE-0000-Z. By type, the board carries 2 capacitors, 1 IC and 1 connector.

It belongs with the iot & wireless, sensors and robotics & motion designs in this gallery.

Hardware design files and build instructions for the OWL platform

ENIG surface finish is recommended. Minimum track width and clearance are 0.15 mm, minimum drill is 0.25 mm (controller) or 0.3 mm (stator, sensor).

The easiest way to get the files is the latest release: owl--jlcpcb.zip has the JLCPCB files and owl--generic.zip the generic files and schematics, each with one folder per board.

Order each board (controller, stator, sensor-ma600a) separately. Download and unzip owl--jlcpcb.zip, then for each board:

Sensor - MA600A: common questions

What microcontroller does the Sensor - MA600A use?

The Sensor - MA600A is built around the 781715006, from the RP2040/RP2350 family.

How big is the Sensor - MA600A PCB?

The Sensor - MA600A measures 22.3 × 20 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Sensor - MA600A?

4 components, from 4 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Sensor - MA600A design files?

From the sedlak477/owl-hardware repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Sensor - MA600A design in my own project?

Yes, under the terms of its CERN-OHL-P-2.0 license, which sedlak477 chose for the repository.

Can I test firmware for the Sensor - MA600A without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug RP2040/RP2350 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
