1. from this Github page click Code > download zip. 2. Uncompress the zip. 3. Go to jlcpcb.com or any other pcb maker. I'll assume you're using JLC for the next steps. 4. Select instant quote and when prompted to select a gerber file, select the file \Kicad\CardSizeMidiController\production\CardSizeMidiController.zip. From here there will be a lot of options but most of them can be left as default. The only “mandatory” change is Mark on PCB which should be changed to Order Number (Specify Position). You can also optionaly change: the quantity (5 by default) the color, which is green by…

Card-Sized-Midi-Controller: common questions

What microcontroller does the Card-Sized-Midi-Controller use?

The Card-Sized-Midi-Controller is built around the ATMEGA328P-AU, from the AVR/Arduino family.

How big is the Card-Sized-Midi-Controller PCB?

The Card-Sized-Midi-Controller measures 85.7 × 54 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Card-Sized-Midi-Controller?

35 components, from 13 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Card-Sized-Midi-Controller design files?

From the sensai7/Card-Sized-Midi-Controller repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Card-Sized-Midi-Controller design in my own project?

Yes, under the terms of its GPL-3.0 license, which sensai7 chose for the repository.

Can I test firmware for the Card-Sized-Midi-Controller without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug AVR/Arduino firmware against it before you order a PCB.
