Hardware files for the Smoothieboard v2, and extension boards
This directory contains two kinds of boards:
- Ccecil designs are Git submodules pinned to specific revisions of their independent hardware repositories. Their descriptive directory names are stable here; upstream repository names and URLs remain unchanged. - Legacy designs are verbatim copies of folders from Smoothieboard2 master:extensions, captured at commit 52ab340de33180a975b25f856c161993488e6ace. They are ordinary tracked directories, not submodules, and do not update automatically when master changes.

SPIOpto: common questions
How big is the SPIOpto PCB?
The SPIOpto measures 50.8 × 80 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.
How many components are on the SPIOpto?
32 components, from 5 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.
Where can I download the SPIOpto design files?
From the Smoothieware/Smoothieboard2 repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.
Can I use the SPIOpto design in my own project?
The repository has no license, so all rights stay with Smoothieware. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.
