About the Hermes-Lite DB9 Adapter PCB

Hermes-Lite DB9 Adapter is an open source PCB design by softerhardware, published on GitHub. It is a 2-layer board measuring 28.1 × 15 mm, with 9 components from 6 distinct parts.

By type, the board carries 4 connectors, 2 transistors and 2 resistors.

It belongs with the rf & radio designs in this gallery.

From the project

A second generation low-cost amateur HF software defined radio transceiver.

The BOM below lists possible options for the DB9 adapter board. The builder should choose what components they need to buy and install.

Please refer to the schematic during assembly. Please refer to the HR50 interface notes found on the IO wiki page for details on how to use this with the HR50.

Below is a picture of an assembled DB-9 IO board. Only one of the level shifter channels is installed, TX on pin 3 of the DB-9. This is all the that HR50 requires. The other level shifter can be installed if RX is required.
