CFF3000 GPIO Interface

CFF3000 GPIO interface ======================

This repository contains information how to interface a Abus CFF3000 remote control with a Raspberry Pi or similar development board using GPIOs. First of all one needs to disassemble the remote control. Be careful when removing the rubber part from the PCB to avoid tearing off the antenna.

Next step: Soldering a couple of wires. I tried to tap the signals at locations, that are as simple to solder as possible. Unfortunately tapping the LEDs is a bit tricky. Note, that the CFF3000 design is "interesting" and does not use a common ground/vcc for…

Cff3000: common questions

How big is the Cff3000 PCB?

The Cff3000 measures 55 × 44 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Cff3000?

18 components, from 11 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Cff3000 design files?

From the sre/cff3000-pcb repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Cff3000 design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with sre. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.
