Core software repository for the Tennessee Valley Stellar Corporation

This repository is the principal codebase for the Tennessee Valley Stellar Corporation. We are a community-scale space agency in east Tennessee dedicated to the open development of technologies enabling the public use of space.

There are three main sections to the repository. The most active development at the moment is taking place in the hal and the electronics directories. The hal directory contains the Hardware Abstraction Layer. The electronics directory holds our PCB design work. The rest of the repository (the third section) consists of older code that is in need of…

Solar debug board: common questions

What microcontroller does the Solar debug board use?

The Solar debug board is built around the C222355, from the STM32 family.

How big is the Solar debug board?

The Solar debug board measures 70.1 × 65.2 mm, has 4 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Solar debug board?

31 components, from 18 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Solar debug board design files?

From the stellarcorp/tvsc repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Solar debug board design in my own project?

Yes, under the terms of its MIT license, which stellarcorp chose for the repository.

Can I test firmware for the Solar debug board without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug STM32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
