BondTest72 mainboard design files
Production test fixture board for bond wire testing, controlled by a Raspberry Pi Pico. Test signals are routed through CH446X analog crosspoint switches to two 41-pin connectors, on which a replaceable adapter board sits. The adapter board carries the DUT connector and any auxiliary components, keeping the main tester board from wearing out.
The board is powered from the Pico's USB VBUS rail. The TPS7A0533 LDO provides an optional quiet +3.3VADC rail as an alternative ADC reference, in case the main +3.3V rail from the Pico's onboard DCDC is too noisy. In practice the application only…

BondTest72: common questions
What microcontroller does the BondTest72 use?
The BondTest72 is built around the C41407547, from the RP2040/RP2350 family.
How big is the BondTest72 PCB?
The BondTest72 measures 80 × 90 mm, has 4 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.
How many components are on the BondTest72?
34 components, from 17 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.
Where can I download the BondTest72 design files?
From the szfate/BondTest72 repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.
Can I use the BondTest72 design in my own project?
The repository has no license, so all rights stay with szfate. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.
Can I test firmware for the BondTest72 without the hardware?
Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug RP2040/RP2350 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
