About the C64 Joykey Faceplate X1 PCB

C64 Joykey Faceplate X1 is an open source PCB design by tebl, published on GitHub under the CERN-OHL-1.2 license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 99.7 × 74.9 mm, with 4 components from 1 distinct parts.

It belongs with the retro computing, keyboards and test & measurement designs in this gallery.

From the project

WASD-style joystick for vintage computers. With an added Arduino Pro Micro you can use it as a USB-keyboard, so if you wanted a DIY streamdeck or Macro-keyboard - then the C64 JoyKEY can do that as well.

These generally come in two different variations, A and B with a number added to separate the various designs. The A version has a larger PCB cutout that should allow you to use most of Cherry MX-compatible keycaps of the kind that descends down past the actual switch (low/medium profile), if you're in doubt this is the version to get. The B designs have a smaller cutout, but requires the use of keycaps that don't descend so far down (high profile).
