About the CPC464 Splitter Faceplate A1 PCB

CPC464 Splitter Faceplate A1 is an open source PCB design by tebl, published on GitHub under the CERN-OHL-1.2 license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 82.6 × 40.6 mm, with 4 components from 1 distinct parts.

It belongs with the retro computing designs in this gallery.

From the project

A simple joystick splitter for use with the Amstrad CPC 464 computer. This allows the use of two Atari-style joysticks on the computer, but note that as the computer does not have power on the connector - this will not work with joysticks that have autofire.

Simple passive device that breaks out the joystick port on the Amstrad CPC 464 computer so that two Atari-style joysticks can be used, it is based on an article in the magazine Amstrad Action (scans available on CPCWiki). Note that because there are no active components, this will not work with joysticks that have any active electronics (commonly used by autofire circuits). A second fire button has also been added, this matches the pinout usually associated with Sega Master System gamepads (will not work with the controllers for Sega Genesis or Mega Drive).
