About the Fm-Transmitter PCB

Fm-Transmitter is an open source PCB design by TeknoTrek, published on GitHub. It is a 2-layer board measuring 40 × 45 mm, with 20 components from 19 distinct parts.

By type, the board carries 7 capacitors, 5 resistors, 2 diodes, 1 transistor, 1 antenna and 1 microphone.

It belongs with the rf & radio designs in this gallery.

This repository is part of the Teknotrek YouTube channel, where we share electronics projects. Find KiCad files for FM transmitters, voltage regulators, and more. Visit the Teknotrek YouTube channel https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCLOmh3PNItDSgDy55UoxpgQ for build videos and tutorials.

This repository contains the KiCad project files for an FM Transmitter circuit operating in the 88 MHz – 108 MHz range. The design includes both the circuit schematic and the PCB layout, with a 3D model of the assembled board.

This FM transmitter is designed to broadcast audio signals using a microphone input. It covers the standard FM radio frequency range and is powered by a 9V battery. The circuit is based on a single transistor (BC548) and includes adjustable frequency tuning through a variable capacitor (C3).

Fm-Transmitter: common questions

How big is the Fm-Transmitter PCB?

The Fm-Transmitter measures 40 × 45 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Fm-Transmitter?

20 components, from 19 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Fm-Transmitter design files?

From the TeknoTrek/Fm-Transmitter repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Fm-Transmitter design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with TeknoTrek. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.
