About the Nrf24stm8l PCB

Nrf24stm8l is an open source STM32 PCB design by TG9541, published on GitHub under the MIT license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 17.8 × 29.2 mm, with 11 components from 9 distinct parts.

Its main chip is the STM8L051F3P, from the STM32 family. Other key parts include the NRF24L01_Breakout. By type, the board carries 6 capacitors, 2 ICs, 1 crystal, 1 connector and 1 battery holder.

It belongs with the sensors and dev boards & breakouts designs in this gallery.

From the project

KiCad project: STM8L051F3P6 breakout w/ nRF24L01+

STM8L051F3P6 board with an nRF24L01+ module, a 32.768KHz crystal, and a CR2032 battery holder for prototyping wireless sensors. STM8 eForth support for nRF24L01+ (or SI24R1) is work in progress.

The HackaDay project [STM8 eForth Wireless Sensor][HAD1] explores using this PCB.

Nrf24stm8l: common questions

What microcontroller does the Nrf24stm8l use?

The Nrf24stm8l is built around the STM8L051F3P, from the STM32 family.

How big is the Nrf24stm8l PCB?

The Nrf24stm8l measures 17.8 × 29.2 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Nrf24stm8l?

11 components, from 9 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Nrf24stm8l design files?

From the TG9541/nrf24stm8l repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Nrf24stm8l design in my own project?

Yes, under the terms of its MIT license, which TG9541 chose for the repository.

Can I test firmware for the Nrf24stm8l without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug STM32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
