About the Test load PCB

Test load is an open source PCB design by Thinkpad4by3, published on GitHub. It is a 2-layer board measuring 65 × 55 mm, with 100 components from 1 distinct parts.

From the project

Electrostatic CRT driver designed from the ground up for performance, versatility and ease-of-manufacturability

The 2nd board is the deflection board, which consists of all the required components to take any sort of vector control X/Y signal and amplify it to the +/- 150V required to move the beam around. This board is compatible with almost every type of ES-CRT, including single ended deflection type tubes. All plates are driven by 300Vpk-pk 500KHz bandwidth amplifiers, where gain/offset can be used to control picture size, and neutral voltage can set for astigmatism. Amplifiers are of a class-AB variety, and are closed loop for minimal distortion, and are powered by their own local bi-polar power…

Test load: common questions

How big is the Test load PCB?

The Test load measures 65 × 55 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Test load?

100 components, from 1 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Test load design files?

From the Thinkpad4by3/chibitron repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Test load design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with Thinkpad4by3. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.
